Kasaragod, Sept. 22 -- Students from Rajasthan were among the first to join the inaugural MBBS batches at the new Government Medical Colleges in Kasaragod and Wayanad, which were recently approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Both colleges have been sanctioned 50 MBBS seats for the current academic year.
Gurvinder Singh from Alwar was the first student to be admitted to Kasaragod Medical College at Ukkinadka. Similarly, Saniya Biwal from Jaipur was the first student to secure a seat at Wayanad Medical College in Mananthavady on September 19, both under the All India Merit Quota.
