Jaipur, Sept. 22 -- A data analysis of cancer patients in Rajasthan has projected the state's average cancer incidence rate to be 134.57 per one lakh population in 2025. This figure is significantly higher than the projected national average of 113 per one lakh people.
The findings were released by Dr. S.G. Kabra, Director (Clinical) at the Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital (BMCH), who called the trend "surprising and serious." The data was compiled by the BMCH's histopathology department, a designated centre for reporting confirmed cancer cases to the Indian Council of Medical Research's (ICMR) Indian Cancer Registry.
