Jaipur, May 4 -- In light of the scorching heat and heatwave conditions, the Rajasthan government has ordered restriction on the use of load-carrying animals during the afternoon hours. Samit Sharma, Secretary of the Animal Husbandry, Dairy, and Fisheries Department, has issued guidelines to districts to prohibit the use of load-carrying animals like horses, donkeys, mules, buffaloes, and bulls during the afternoon hours to prevent heat-related illnesses. The guidelines state that the current heatwave conditions can lead to heatstroke, dehydration, and exhaustion in animals, and it is essential to adopt a compassionate and humane approach towards them.
