Jaipur, Sept. 29 -- The Rajasthan State Finance Department has formed a special team to investigate the alleged Rs 1,500 crore Annpurna Food Packet scam in the state. The alleged fraud was detected during the test of the food (ration) packets by the teams of the Cooperative Department. In the testing, spurious raw material (food) was allegedly found.
A large number of ration kit samples failed laboratory tests in many districts, official sources said.
The investigating team comprises assistant accounts officers Hemant Bilala, Arvind Sharma and Pushpendra Singh, sources said. The Rs 4,500 crore CM Annapurna Food Packet (ration kit) scheme was implemented by the previous Congress regime in the state for distribution among the beneficiaries ...
