Jaipur, Oct. 16 -- Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has announced an enhanced ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for the next of kin of every victim who lost their life in the fire that broke out in an AC sleeper coach in Jaisalmer.
According to an official announcement made today, families who have lost three or more members will receive Rs 25 lakh as compensation for their loss, a CMO release stated.
Additionally, passengers who sustained serious injuries will receive Rs 2 lakh each, while those with minor injuries will get Rs 1 lakh each. The Chief Minister has approved these enhanced compensation amounts by relaxing the norms of the CM Relief Fund, an official spokesperson said.
