Jaipur, Sept. 19 -- The Rajasthan state cabinet today approved the draft bill for establishing the Maharana Pratap Sports University in Jaipur. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa announced that the bill will be introduced and passed in the next state assembly session.
The university's academic curriculum will be based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on sports, science, technology, and practical training. It will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure and offer doctoral programmes in sports science, sports technology, and performance analytics. The announcement to set up the university was made in the state budget for 2025-26.
