Jaipur, Sept. 10 -- The Rajasthan Assembly today passed the contentious -- The Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill, 2025, amid ruckus in the house, which saw the opposition create a din over the issue of law and order and delay in the Panchayati Raj elections.
The disruptions forced Speaker Vasudev Devnani to adjourn the house multiple times.
The acrimony in the House was so high that the House was adjourned thrice in a row amid the ruckus and sloganeering in the well, and even the contentious Forced Conversion(Prevention)Bill 2025, was passed amid the din.
The principal opposition Congress did not participate in the debate and voice vote and continued protests and slogan chants in the well.
