Jaipur, Sept. 9 -- Opposition Congress members' protests sparked chaos in the Rajasthan Assembly today, forcing three consecutive adjournments.

The question hour in the House proceeded smoothly in the morning, but turned chaotic when Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully attempted to seek clarification on a question regarding law and order, sparking a disruption.

Speaker Vasudev Devnani disallowed the intervention, citing that "only the member concerned can put up a supplementary." This sparked strong protests from leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully and his party colleagues, who argued that the LoP has the privilege to intervene. However, the Speaker remained firm in his decision.
