Alwar, May 6 -- In a bid to ensure safety, two-wheelers have been barred from entering the Sariska Tiger Reserve.
Forest department sources said that the restriction has been imposed following a recent incident in Ranthambore where a tiger attacked and took away a child. The ban on two-wheelers was implemented last Tuesday temporarily.
Sariska Forest Officer Abhimanyu Saharan stated that around 200 two-wheelers used to reach the Pandupole Hanuman temple from the main gate and about 100 from the Tehla gate on Tuesdays. To facilitate devotees, the forest department has arranged for a Roadways bus to ply from the main gate at 11 am. A similar arrangement has been made at the Tehla gate.
