Jaipur, July 27 -- A local court in Rajasthan's Jhalawar today remanded to jail custody Meena leader Naresh Meena in a case related to "roughing up" policemnn during a protest demonstration at a hospital.
Meena and two others were produced before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jhalawar, Meenakshi Vyas who sent them to judicial custody until August 8.
Meena and his supporters had held a protest demonstration at the hospital on Friday when victims of the school ceiling collapse incident of Piplodi village were being treated.
Demanding compensation and government job for kins of the deceased school children, Meena allegedly raised slogans and roughed up the policemen. The police used force to disperse the protesters.
