Mathura, July 21 -- A local court here on Tuesday convicted 11 policemen out of the total 14, accused in the infamous killing of Raja Man Singh of Bharatpur Estate in Rajasthan, 35 years back in a fake encounter.

The court of Additional Sessions Judge Sadhna Rani Thakur, while acquitting four accused, chose to announce the quantum of punishment to the convicts on Wednesday. Hearing in the case was completed on July 9.

On February 21, 1985, Raja Man Singh and two others were killed in a police encounter. Daughter of Raja Man Singh, Deepa Singh and her husband Vijay Singh filed an FIR in Deeg police station in Rajasthan, accusing the policemen of murder.
