New Delhi, Feb. 14 -- Karnataka Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna on Friday urged the Congress high command to clarify the status of Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar as the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President.

Rajanna stated that the party had earlier decided that Shivakumar would retain the KPCC presidency until the parliamentary elections. With the elections now concluded, he suggested the arrangement be revisited.

Speaking to reporters, Rajanna said, "Following the assembly elections in May 2023, the Congress central leadership had stated that Shivakumar would serve as both Deputy Chief Minister and state unit president until the completion of the Lok Sabha elections."
