Rajanna hints at stepping into Shivakumar's shoes
Bengaluru, June 28 -- In a move likely to deepen the leadership churn within the Karnataka Congress, Minister KN Rajanna today openly signaled his interest in donning the organisational mantle currently held by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, hinting at a possible claim to the powerful post of KPCC President.
"I will leave my ministerial position if needed. I'm happy to serve the party and strengthen the organisation. The Congress high command's decision is final, and I will abide by it," Rajanna told reporters, remarks that are being widely read as a veiled expression of his willingness to step into Shivakumar's role.
