Jaipur, Feb. 7 -- union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil said on Saturday that the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan will soon get its due share in water from the Yamuna under a tripartite agreement involving Centre, Haryana and Rajasthan.

The Shekhawati region of Rajasthan mainly consists of three districts: Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu. It is sometimes considered to include parts of the adjacent Nagaur and Jaipur districts, making it a semi-arid region.

Talking to media at the BJP state headquarters, Patil said the Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Saturday approved the Darft Proposal Report (DPR) of the work prepared by the joint team of officials from the two states.
