Jaipur, Dec. 5 -- Minor violations of rules and norms or petty crimes such as cattle grazing on forest land, seeking water connection without prior clearances, failure in producing account books - ledgers (Bahi-Khata) before commercial department officials, henceforth will not lead to the perpetrators being sent behind the bars in Rajasthan.

The Rajasthan Government has decided to promulgate an ordinance to drop the clause - provision of imprisonment for such minor acts from as many as 11 existing laws.
