Jaipur (Rajasthan), April 1 -- Rajasthan cabinet on Tuesday approved a two per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state employees and pensioners on the occasion of New Year Vikram Samvat (2082) and New Financial Year 2025-26.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma approved the proposal of the Finance Department in this regard today. Now under the seventh pay scale in the state, state employees and pensioners will be given 55 percent dearness allowance or dearness relief from 53 percent from January 1. This decision will benefit about eight lakh employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners. The employees of Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad will also get the benefit of this increase.
