Ranchi, Dec. 3 -- The Governor's Secretariat has issued an order officially renaming Raj Bhavan, Jharkhand, as Lok Bhavan.
The notification, dated December 3, states that the change has been made following the approval of the Government of India conveyed through a Home Ministry letter issued on November 25.
The order, signed by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor, notes that both the English and Hindi names of the Governor's official residence will now reflect the new title. The directive takes immediate effect.
The communication instructs senior state officials and departments to update all records and ensure that the new nomenclature is used in official correspondence, public communication, and administrative documents.
