New Delhi, April 20 -- In a move towards addressing the national capital's growing water challenges, Minister Parvesh Verma on Monday chaired an important meeting with officials concerned, and with a shift in policy and execution, rainwater harvesting systems will now be treated as mandatory and enforced across the city.
The high-level meeting brought together officials from over 60 departments of the Delhi Government and Government of India.
The initiative aligns with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, and his call to "Catch the Rain where it falls, when it falls," turning water conservation into a people's movement.
