Guwahati, May 29 -- Incessant rains since Wednesday night have led to flash floods in Assam's capital town Guwahati, throwing normal life out of gear on Thursday morning.

Water logging disrupted the movement of vehicular traffic at different places in the city, including at Rukminigaon, Hatigaon and several areas of Guwahati.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted inclement weather in Assam with likelihood of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across western and southern parts of the Sstate in the next 2-3 days.
