Shimla/Solan, Aug. 6 -- Continuous rainfall in Himachal Pradesh has severely disrupted water supply in Shimla and led to the closure of educational institutions in Solan district.

The Shimla Jal Prabandhan Nigam Limited (SJPNL) issued an alert yesterday stating that due to extremely high turbidity levels at various water sources, the supply schedule across all zones in Shimla is likely to be disturbed for the next two to three days.

The authorities have urged residents to use water judiciously until normal supply is restored.
