Canberra, Oct. 29 -- The opening T20 International between India and Australia ended in a no result after rain interrupted play at the Manuka Oval here today.
Put in to bat first, India made an explosive start, reaching 97 for 1 in 9.4 overs before heavy rain forced the match to be abandoned. Captain Suryakumar Yadav led from the front with an unbeaten 39 off 24 deliveries, while opener Shubman Gill remained not out on 37 from 20 balls.
Abhishek Sharma gave India early momentum with 19 off 14 balls, striking four boundaries before he was dismissed by Nathan Ellis, who claimed the only wicket to fall.
