Lucknow, Jan. 26 -- After a spell of intense cold in Uttar Pradesh, a temporary change in weather is expected this week.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the state is likely to increase by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius on January 27 and 28.
Rain is also expected in most parts of the state during this period.
In the past 24-48 hours, the state witnessed a sharp drop in temperature due to cold and dry winds blowing from the Himalayan regions. This situation arose after the weakening of the previous Western Disturbance.
The Meteorological Department said that dense fog is likely in some plains districts on the mornings of January 26 and 27, although the fog will dissipate as the day progresses.
