Mumbai, Sept. 28 -- Mumbai is set to experience moderate showers with isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds tommorow, following a weekend of exceptionally heavy rainfall that caused widespread waterlogging and transport disruptions, according to the India Meteorological Department(IMD).
The weather system is weakening as a low-pressure area moves inland and dissipates, prompting the IMD to lift the red alert issued for Mumbai and adjoining districts of Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. The city recorded 120.8 mm of rainfall at Colaba and 83.8 mm at Santacruz in the 24 hours ending at 0830 IST today.
