Rain, snow likely at few places in higher Himachal on Jan 1

Shimla, Dec. 29 -- Rain or snowfall is likely to occur at few places of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba and Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh on January 1.

According to the India Metrological department, a fresh western disturbance is set to influence weather conditions across the hill state around the New Year, with light to moderate rain and snowfall likely at a few places in the higher reaches on January 1.

As per the district-level outlook, parts of Chamba, Kullu, Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti districts are expected to experience light to moderate rain or snowfall at isolated to few locations on January 1.
