New Delhi, Dec. 26 -- : With an aim to decongest busy stations and improve passenger convenience, the Indian Railways has unveiled an ambitious plan to nearly double the originating train capacity across 48 major cities by 2030.
The stations that will be part of the plan include: Delhi, Jammu, Mumbai (CR, WR), Jodhpur, Kolkata (ER, SER, Kolkata Metro), Jaipur, Chennai, Vadodara, Hyderabad, Surat, Bangalore, Madgaon, Ahmedabad, Cochin, Patna, Puri, Lucknow (NR, NER), Bhubaneshwar, Pune, Vishakhapatnam, Nagpur (CR, SECR), Vijaywada, Varanasi (NR, NER), Tirupati, Kanpur, Haridwar, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Mathura, Bhagalpur, Ayodhya, Muzaffarpur, Agra, Darbhanga, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn, Gaya, Chandigarh, Mysore, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, Amritsar,...
