New Delhi, Dec. 12 -- Indian Railways has fortified its ticket reservation system with advanced cyber security measures and stringent user verification protocols, resulting in the deactivation of 3.02 crore suspicious user IDs since January 2025 and a significant rise in confirmed Tatkal ticket availability across major trains.

The strengthened system, equipped with multi-layered cyber defences, Aadhaar-based OTP verification and anti-bot technologies, was detailed by union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
