Bhubaneswar, July 19 -- Union Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti, V. Somanna, today said that railway projects worth over Rs.80,000 crore are currently under execution across Odisha under various sanctioned schemes.
During an extensive inspection of the ongoing redevelopment work at Bhubaneswar railway station, the Minister said the initiative is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to transform railway stations across the country into world-class facilities.
Somanna highlighted that Odisha has been receiving significantly higher budget allocations for railway development under the Modi government.
