Aizawl, Aug. 24 -- Satish Kumar, Chairman of the Railway Board and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Railways, visited Aizawl to review the progress of the highly anticipated Bairabi-Sairang railway project.
The 51.38 km railway line, expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon, is considered a major infrastructural milestone for Mizoram.
Kumar, accompanied by senior Railway Ministry officials including Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) General Manager Chetan Kumar Srivastava and NFR General Manager (Construction) Arun Kumar Chaudary, on Saturday met with Chief Minister Lalduhoma to discuss strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the state's railway network and spurring economic growth in the region.
