Srinagar, March 24 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday carried out raids in several districts of Kashmir against the former members of banned organisations.

The raids, officials said, were conducted in the Shopian, Awantipora and Kulgam districts of Kashmir.

Police in the Awantipora sub-district conducted raids and searches in the houses of members and activists of the banned organisations Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party '(JKDFP) and JK Peoples League in connection with the investigation of three cases registered in police stations of Pampore and Awantipora last year.
