New Delhi, April 8 -- Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday sought President Droupadi Murmu's intervention on cancellation of appointment of thousands of teachers of West Bengal, stating that it needs human approach as entire recruitment is "not tainted".

In his letter to the President, Gandhi mentioned that he had met a group of affected teachers representing the Shikshak Shikshika Adhikar Mancha, who urged him to raise their concerns with her. He said, "Calcutta High Court found serious irregularities in teacher recruitment and declared the entire process null and void. On April 3rd, the Supreme Court upheld the High Court judgment.
