Chandigarh, Sept. 14 -- Congress leader and Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Punjab tomorrow, to review the situation in areas affected by the recent floods. His visit is being seen as politically significant given the widespread damage and distress in the state.
According to the schedule, Rahul Gandhi will arrive at Amritsar Airport around 9:30 a.m. He will then proceed to Ramdass to meet families affected by the floods and listen to their grievances. He is also expected to offer prayers at Gurudwara Baba Budha Sahib Ji and interact with local volunteers engaged in relief work. Discussions with the administration and social organisations regarding rehabilitation and aid distribution are also planned.
