New Delhi, Dec. 11 -- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Thursday reiterated his concerns about the struggles of traditional craftsmen, particularly those involved in the production of Banarasi saris, and urged the government to extend support to revive the dying art.

In a fervent address to the Lower House of Parliament on Wednesday, Gandhi, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, emphasized the hardships faced by Banarasi sari weavers.

He called for government assistance to preserve this traditional craft and stressed the need to support the revival of the fading art form, highlighting the challenges encountered by traditional artisans.
