New Delhi, Feb. 4 -- union Minister and senior BJP leader Hardeep Singh Puri on Tuesday strongly criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for using the word "traitor" against union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu in Parliament, calling it unacceptable and hurtful to the Sikh community.

Addressing a press conference, Puri said the Congress has been disrupting Parliament proceedings for several days. He said the word "traitor" should not be taken lightly as it carries serious meaning.

"A traitor is someone who betrays the country. Rahul Gandhi is upset because Bittu left his party, and this reflects his mindset," Puri said.
