Samastipur, Dec. 24 -- union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on Wednesday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of defaming India from foreign soil and said such acts were not at all acceptable to the people of the country/Rai prophesied that the people would give a befitting reply to Gandhi in the assembly elections, due in several states in the days ahead.
Rai told media persons here that Gandhi had no right to defame India from foreign soil and it could not be tolerated by the people of the country. It was a trend visible in the last few years that Gandhi had been "criticising and insulting" constitutional institutions of the country from foreign soil, he pointed out.
