Mumbai, May 1 -- Mumbai Indians on Thursday announced that leg spinner Raghu Sharma will replace Vignesh Puthur for the remainder of the season.

Puthur, who was ruled out due to bone stress reactions in both shins, will continue his recovery with the Mumbai Indians Medical and Strength & Conditioning (S&C) team.

Raghu, 32, comes in after being a part of the Mumbai Indians' support bowlers' roster. Having played 11 First-Class matches, nine List A games, and three T20s for Punjab and Puducherry, he has demonstrated remarkable skills, including five five-wicket hauls and three 10-wicket hauls in First-Class cricket.
