Rio De Janeiro, April 2 -- Racing completed an impressive night for Argentine clubs with a 3-0 away win over Brazilian side Fortaleza in their Copa Libertadores group stage opener on Tuesday.

Maximiliano Salas gave Racing an early lead before Agustin Almendra and Santiago Sosa added second-half goals at the Castelao stadium in northeastern Brazil. Earlier, fellow Argentine side Estudiantes eased to a 2-0 victory over Carabobo in Venezuela thanks to goals from Santiago Nunez and Santiago Ascacibar either side of halftime.
