Suva (Fiji), Sept. 9 -- Vanuatu captain Rachel Andrew delivered a record-breaking allround performance as her side narrowly defeated Indonesia by seven runs in the opening match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup East Asia Pacific Qualifier, being held in Fiji.

The win marked a memorable start to Vanuatu's campaign for a spot in the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier.

Rachel, 27, played a pivotal role in both innings. With the bat, she anchored Vanuatu's innings, scoring an unbeaten 85, the backbone of the team's total of 131. Her innings was marked by controlled strokeplay and aggressive finishing, enabling Vanuatu to post a competitive score.
