London, Oct. 15 -- Tony Caunter, best known for his role as Jack Shepherd in the Yorkshire Television sitcom Queenie's Castle, has died at the age of 88, his family confirmed.
He passed away peacefully at Eastbourne District General Hospital, only eight days after the death of his wife of 63 years, Fran, reports BBC.
Counter's family described him as a "wonderful and hugely loved father."Caunter leaves a daughter, three sons, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, the statement said.
"He will be missed by all," it added.
