Hyderabad, Feb. 4 -- Stressing that quality has become the defining factor in today's coal market, State-owned Singareni Collieries Company LimitedSCCL) Chairman and Managing Director D.Krishna Bhaskar has directed Area General Managers to achieve production targets with greater emphasis on coal quality.
Addressing a high-level review meeting held via video conference from Singareni Bhavan here on Tuesday evening, Bhaskar underlined that the coal market has become increasingly quality-sensitive, with consumers willing to accept only coal that meets prescribed specifications.
He cautioned that merely chasing volumes without ensuring quality could impact the company's long-term competitiveness and revenue stability.
