Los Angeles, Dec. 7 -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 jolted the U.S. state of Alaska at 2041 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
Tremors were felt in the state's capital, Juneau, and in nearby regions of Canada, local media reported.
According to the USGS, the quake was centered 96 km northeast of Yakutat with a depth of 10 kilometers.
No casualties or property damage have been reported.
