Beijing, Aug. 3 -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 jolted 121 km E of Severo-Kuril'sk, Russia at 0537 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 40.8 km, was initially determined to be at 50.53 degrees north latitude and 157.83 degrees east longitude.
