Doha, Feb. 6 -- Qatar is ready to become a mediator between the United States and Iran to resolve differences between the two countries over the Iranian nuclear program, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman and adviser to the Qatari prime minister Majed Al-Ansari said.

"And we had been even during the first Trump administration working with the administration over getting an arrangement with Iran, and we think it's a role that we can play now," Al-Ansari told the Fox News broadcaster on Wednesday.

At the same time, he noted that Qatar is currently participating in 10 mediation processes that are ongoing simultaneously, including mediation efforts between Palestinian movement Hamas and Israel.
