Moscow, May 21 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Kursk II nuclear power plant (NPP) that is currently under construction, the Kremlin said on Wednesday.
"In the city of Kurchatov, Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the heads of municipalities of the Kursk Region. In addition, the president visited the Kursk NPP-2 under construction," the Kremlin said in a statement.
Putin also held a meeting with the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinshtein, the statement read.
