Moscow/Washington, Aug. 16 -- During the US - Russia summit in Alaska on Friday, President Donald Trump and Vladmir Putin had touched upon the much-anticipated topic of a possible land swap, as part of ending the war. The Russian President reportedly told his American counterpart that he was willing to end all hostilities in exchange for complete control of Donetsk and Luhansk, as per The Guardian.
No comments on the matter have come forth, though the summit was said to have heavily leaned in Moscow's favour, implying a possible agreement on this. While neither side was able to reach a complete agreement, both leaders noted the talks to be constructive.
