Bhubaneswar, Dec. 13 -- union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has described Purvodaya as the engine of growth for a developed India, with a focus on the holistic development of eastern India, including Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the international conference on "Purvodaya Vision - 2025" through a video message on Saturday, Pradhan said the core objective of the initiative is to transform eastern India into a major growth engine of a developed nation.
He noted that the union Budget 2024 has also laid special emphasis on the Purvodaya initiative to accelerate the region's comprehensive development.
