Puri, May 8 -- The Odisha administration has planned an extensive security and civic preparedness framework for the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra in Puri, with deployment of around 220 platoons of police personnel along with specialised teams from the NSG, RAF, ODRAF and NDRF.
To strengthen surveillance during the grand festival scheduled to begin on July 16, anti-drone systems will be installed to prevent unauthorized drone activity, while nearly 200 CCTV cameras will monitor the Badadanda (Grand Road) and other key locations.
An integrated control room staffed by experts will function round-the0clock for crowd management, surveillance and emergency response.
