Puri, Jan. 6 -- The Puri district police will investigate a scuffle that broke out between two government security wings inside the Sri Jagannath Temple premises on Sunday, which led to a disruption in devotees' darshan.

Chief Administrator of the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Aravind Padhee, said the temple administration would also conduct an internal inquiry into the incident.

Padhee had convened a high-level meeting on Monday attended by temple officials, the district police chief, the head of the Srimandir Surakshya Bahini, the chief of the Jagannath Temple Police (JTP), and senior servitors to discuss the matter.
