Puri, Aug. 23 -- The 12th-century Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri will soon introduce Dhadi Darshan (queue system) for devotees to ensure smooth and orderly viewing of the deities.

Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said the system will come into effect from September 15, once the temple managing body,expected to be constituted in the first week of September, takes a formal decision.

Meanwhile, temple security is being strengthened following two recent incidents where devotees attempted to climb the main tower of the shrine. In one case, a devotee from Bihar was stopped by security personnel while trying to scale the 12th-century structure. Officials have warned that such attempts are becoming increasingly frequent.
