Puri, Jan. 12 -- Hundreds of people gathered at the Puri district headquarters hospital on Monday, demanding action against doctors after a woman patient died after delivery, allegedly due to the negligence of doctors.
The father of the victim stated that his daughter Rojalin, who was admitted to the maternity ward of the DHH for her second delivery delivered a baby boy on January 10.
After delivery, the hospital authorities, shifted her to a general bed along with the baby. On Sunday, she fell off the bed and became unconscious. Despite informing the duty staff in the ward, she was not attended to by a doctor for hours.
