Phagwara, June 29 -- The Phillaur police, under the leadership of DSP Sarwan Singh Ball (PPS), have successfully rescued a kidnapped man and arrested two prime accused within hours of the incident being reported. According to police officials, the case came to light on June 27, when Kamaljit Kaur, wife of the victim Teja Singh of Chaharra village, District Ludhiana, called the emergency helpline 112, reporting that her husband had been kidnapped and the perpetrators were demanding Rs 20,000 for his release. Acting promptly, a team of Phillaur police station, with assistance from the technical cell, traced the location of the victim using his mobile number.
